My war art proposition would be to create posters out of this image and hang them in impoverished (rural, suburban and urban) public places around the United States and in countries around the world where America has effectively made its’ dominant presence known. Just with the USMC military branch, there are 178 military bases, according to the Department of Defense’ 2003 Base Structure Report. Some of the following countries are territories but most of them have U.S. military bases or are war zones; these are some of the more known places of American occupation: the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rice, Panama, Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, Federated State of Micronesia, Marshall Islands, Palau, Guam, the Philippines, Japan (island of Okinawa), Iraq, Afghanistan are some of the more known places.
